Baumatic BDW16

Hi All,

I come to bare my soul and announce my complete befuddlement with this machine. I literally don’t know where to start, and in essence that’s what I’m asking; where do I start?

Water does not seem to be pushed out of the spray arms, and reading around the fault finding guides I’m of the belief that the motor is either not running or running poorly (given the always quiet nature of it I can’t even gauge which at this point) or if it is maybe jammed/whatever. But when I removed the machine to have a better look I stopped at once and thought “How do I begin?” and adopted that first rule of First Aid – “Don’t do anything that makes things worse!”

As everything appears to be hidden away behind all manner of stuff, and with two tension cords holding stuff in place at the top of the machine, all I could think was what might be loosening inside that I might completely stuff up if I unscrewed them at this point?

So, is there a guide – preferably with pictures or diagrams – to show me the basics of a How-To, or more to the point How-Not-To? Not necessarily for this Baumatic machine, as I’d assume the general principles apply to all, and that basic parts are the same and differ only slightly in design and fit.

I have four sons of 26,22, and twins of 17 who I have most certainly spoiled to the point that they cannot seem to function without this machine. All help to bring sanity to this chaos-ridden home of mine most desperately sought!
