My wife kept breaking the washing machine so I divorced her&the washing machine has never broken down since. It’s true what they say in the advert”Washing machines last longer with cow gone”! 😆

That’s interesting then as I’ve never realised that to be sufficient grounds for divorce? Though I take on board your motives I found a long period of supervision coupled with an equally long period of encouragement ensures my Y fronts and socks are washed, ironed and put back in my drawer each and ever week of the year without any further intervention on my part. Meanwhile the I keep a wary eye on our washing machine and take on the responsibility for its maintenance. Forward thinking on my part ensured I installed an appliance of known long term reliability so that my leisure periods would not be compromised whilst the missus is busy doing the laundry!

I do have a problem though with her indoors breaking the crockery loading and unloading our dishwasher. Last week she took a chunk out of my favourite beer mug that Eddie Jordan gave me years ago…..the silly cow!

Is that sufficient grounds for divorce? Please advise?

    Martin.

Whilst not wanting to avail my scope of knowledge surrounding your underwear. I must presume your household also has regular visits from the sock & underpant fairy You know the one that removes old, frayed and non-elasticity garments, and replaces with new.

Re the Dishwasher, you only have yourself to blame in-so-much as allowing others the privilege of the task. When my children were living at home, they used to dump all used crockery on the work-top. When I pointed out we have a dishwasher, I was put in my place by being reminded no matter how & where they place the goods, I rearrange them.

I should be nominated for the Nobel Prize in dishwasher arrangement, apparently I would be clear winner.

I suffer the same problem with the dishwasher. I always complain when I unload the thing after my son, daughter or better half have loaded it and find the spray arms have been catching.
I have been informed that this is now my main task as I am the expert in the kitchen so it’s my job to deal with the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer due to the fact they use them incorrectly. Should have kept my mouth shut !

…. must be a Whitegoods man thing. I thought it was just me. I always seem to be re-packing/sorting the dishwasher as it’s never seems to be done correctly….. 😀

I fear too you’ve misread the point Calgon were making in their advert slogan TBH 😀 That’s as maybe but I have to constantly assure my missus that I’m buying her diamonds all the time, in the form of those handy sized Finish tablets. 😈
