ParticipantHi
I have just had a new Bosch dishwasher delivered and fitted. When the guys left I opened it and found 2 long (about 60cm) white plastic strips inside. I cant find anything about these in the literature – can anybody tell me what they are for?
Thanks

Not sure but they could be ‘floor guides’ for the feet to slide on if they are that long. 😕
How wide and thick are they?

3cm wide, not very thick. They have like a long slot running all the way down so I guess they slide into something?

Sorry another question as well – the bosch website says all models come with a baking tray spray head – I cant find one with mine – would it be hiding somewhere!

It looks a bit like a shower head, it’s grey and approx 10 cm diameter.
The white plastic strips could be from your previous dishwasher? What you describe are likely to be guides used under the feet on some makes. Your Bosch does not require these strips however and are not supplied by them these days anyway.

I am sure they are not from old dishwasher as they were in the new dishwasher when I opened it – lying in bottom rack.
I definitely don’t have the shower head so have emailed customer services – thanks

Looking at the Installation Instruction Sheet that your machine was supplied with, it illustrates a 60cm wide plastic bottom strip that fits on the bottom kick panel of the machine. The drawing shows how to install it. Also another strip that fits under the worktop, if the work top is removed to facilitate built in installation to a kitchen work top.

The strip simply clips to the bottom edge of the kick plinth to stop kitchen debris from going under machine.
Simply tip dishwasher back to 45 degrees to fit.
HTH 🙂
