I know that this is a module fault but was just wondering if anyone has had any success finding the component responsible? Has anyone managed to repair one of these boards?

    Cheers

My guess is that the heater is controlled by a relay on the board (trace back to find out which one) and that if you check the resistance between the switch contacts of the relay you will find that it is stuck in the on position. If you are not sure if the relay is stuck then meter out its switch contacts then give the board/ relay a sharp smack on a hard surface and test again and you will probably find that the relay will have turned off, either way replace the relay because if it has welded on once it will do it again.

    Cheers Jem,
I’ll have a fiddle and see how we get on, I have the machine here in the workshop, the customer decided to buy a new one from me so there is no pressure to succeed, but it is in mint condition so seems a shame to strip and scrap it. I’ll let you know how I get on.
