Chris hi
Baumatic do not do drum / tub / bearing changes which gives you an idea of the problems they cause!
The unit is actually a Haier produced unit so spares will be expensive and in short supply but if you need them I can get them.
If you need either Baumatic or Haier technical on it I can send it to you tomorrow.
Best wishes

Hi Jackal
Am i to assume it is a not a economic repair for the user or is it not practical for me to do it.
Its not very old,are Baumatic likely to be sympathetic.
Thanks for your help, very much appreciated as customer is a pensioner and I’m trying to do the best for her.July 18, 2012 at 8:14 am #378280Jackal

Chris hi
I have emailed the exploded views and parts listing to you separately. You will need to determine what is needed of course. Below is a guide based on the inner drum shaft and bearings only.
Its a good hour 1/2 to 2 hours work I am afraid.
Inner drum spider, oil seal and both bearings from Baumatic are going to be circa £70.00 trade plus vat and delivery. That is the price to us as a Tier 1 authorised agent. Checking this morning they don’t have the drum spider (because they don’t do drum (or anything connected to it) changes. They simply exchange the machine. If I ordered it as a special order, it would be 16-20 weeks quite literally on the slow boat from China.
We are also a Haier main agent. They have the parts in stock this morning although it is low stock on the inner drum spider (as in only 1) but the price doubles for circa £140.00 for the parts.
The unit should have come with a 2 year parts warranty and a 5 year labour (assuming the customer correctly registered it at the point of purchase) with Baumatic. What is the date of purchase? Given that Baumatic wouldn’t repair it, it would be exchanged, and knowing them they way we do, they are unlikely to be sympathetic I am afraid. 🙁
We had a customer whom was 10 years out of its warranty and they point blank refused to do anything for the customer at all.
Regards
Jackal
