The inner door glass is coming unsealed. I spoke to Tech Support at Whirlpool who suggested that if the oven was put on high it would reseal itself? However, this doesn’t seem to fit with all this stuff about glues from Dave Conway elsewhere on this forum. Anyone care to clarify please?

The door glass will NOT rebond at higher temperature. The correct course of action is to order a tube of Dave’s super sticky silicone sealant; remove the glass, get rid of the old sealant and clean mating surfaces until spotless. The reglue and leave alone for 24hrs.

I think the sealant is in Shop@, so go from there.

So Dave’s super sealant does the trick? Great – but how do I get into the inside of the door to re-glue the glass? Can I take it apart?

You have to remove the door from the oven as per the user manual, then you can split the door by removing the screws that hold the handle.

Be carefull as you do this as the outer glass will fall out, it’s held in place by the handle.

Thanks Dave. Will try that this weekend, as inner glass has now fallen out completely.
