    Hi,

I’m trying to replace the Thermostat on my LEC L061W fridge with a universal VT9 replacement. The problem I have is that when I try and feed the Capillary tube through the small hole at the back of the unit I can only manage to push it about halfway down before it stops. I made sure the tube was straight before inserting it so I am a bit stuck with what to try next.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi

Did you get a short capillary thermostat ? otherwise you will need to coil the excess behind the thermostat housing but you will need to make sure its insulated also.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The Capillary length is 1200mm which is the same as the previous one that it’s replacing. When taking out the old one it didn’t appear to be coiled in the housing. I have attached a picture to show how much it is sticking out. Shall I still go ahead and coil the excess into the housing?

    Cheers
