its a bu72 the top oven she says is not getting hot enough so i thought may be the base element, tried it on and both elements top and bottom seem to be getting hot so went to pulln it out and they have tiled after putting oven in so will have to adjust all legs up ! so thought i would try and find out if it could be anthing else b4 going back, she said it will not get to full heat like it used to

had this problem recently with a neff oven,elements checked ok and got hot,after alot of time and hassle i changed the element as a last resort and it sorted it straight away.

If your sure both elements are working it can only be the thermostat if the door is sealing correctly

If you are good with working out ohms law with the element, you would get a fairly good picture of the state of the element. I found that out with the lux many months ago. Quick formula is 240volts divided by resistance and you get amps then multiply by 240volts then you get wattage. Compare against the stamped wattage and it should be close to it but if it is far off then you know the element is on its way out.
