Hi all,I have the above FF (model no. 001055)and the ice maker dosent seem to empty when turned over then the water comes in on top of the ice in the ice tray,floods freezes and clogs up ice tray and dispensor unit.Does anyone out there have any idea why the ice tray wont empty,the initial amount of water in the ice tray seems about right so as to fall and breakinto cubes down into the dispensor when froozen,all on the mechanical end seems to be working ok.Thanks for reading and any help will be much appreciated.crockett.

no experience on that one but there is normally a mould heater that allows the cubes to release.

Thanks for your help eastlmark,I did see a small capsul like item with two wires from it sited in the middle underneath but touching the outside bottom of the ice tray clipped in and covered outside with polystryine, Im not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure what this is but my best guess is that its a defrost sensor and I dont see anything like a defrost heater on or near the ice cube tray. Any help / information on any of the above will be much appreciated,thanks again eastlmark and thanks all for reading, crockett.

not sure if it will effect the ice maker or not but had loads of evaporator fan motors fail on this model. push the freezer door swtich in and make sure the fan starts up in a few seconds.

Result ! corner broken off ice tray, that when in place at the end of first half of rotation twists the plastic ice cube container,therefore loosening ice cubes in the upside down position over the hopper and the cubes drop down solution ,replace ice tray or if you can repair old one, hope this helps someone in the future.
