Hi, hoping someone can help –
I got my new washer dryer this week and I did everything the instructions said including doing an empty load wash to get it going.
Well first off, I did a load and it washed it fine but then it took forever to dry (6 hours and still damp) but my other half tried something with the pipe and it seems to be drying fine now.
The main problem is that my clothes stink! There’s a horrible burning rubbery chemical smell coming from the machine and I can smell it throughout the whole flat and it’s made my clothes smell. I’m really annoyed as we’ve obviously paid out for a new machine and it’s just not working properly. My second hand first edition indesit worked better than this.. I’m in two minds about sending it back.
Has anyone got this machine and is happy with it? Anyone had this problem?

The machine you have is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit. The First Edition was a name used by Hotpoint before the Indesit Company took them over and destroyed their reputation and quality. Indesit have never had a 1st Edition.
You should not be getting the symptoms you describe, I would advise contacting the Indesit Company or the retailer ASAP.
