Freezer dates from 1994 and has worked well.
Normal temperature has usually been about -23° but maximum temperature has regularly risen to about -14°. I have always assumed this was connected with the defrost cycle.
Recently temperature has been staying very steady at around -22/23° without the previous regular upward blips.
No frost build-up is apparent but I am wondering if the recent change to a very constant temperature is an indication of a problem with the frost-free mechanism which may lead to future problems. If so it will be time to pension the unit off and seek a replacement.
Any comments on the cause/implications of this recent change in temperature range would be welcome.
Thanks.
