All – I have a Terim Range Cooker and the oven is dead, no signs of life. Its demise was prededed by a high pitch noise. The timer/clock is working, but the cooker shows nothing, not even the oven light.

Can anyone advise what the problem may be – I am presuming the controller(s) behind the cooker (temperature and selector) has failed. Can these be purchased as spare parts and how easy are they to fit.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Steve,

Checked that and no, the clock isn’t set. We had that issue a long time ago, so it was something we checked first up.

    The clock is working.

I forgot to mention that prior to the failure, the oven was intermittent which we found we could sort out by jiggling the knob. This is why I suspect the controller(s) behind the know(s) has failed.
