    Hi,

Have a T234c dryer and the water bottle light comes on and no water is getting pumped into the bottle during the program. Tried a live straight to pump and it works fine.

Put the machine onto the function check program and when pump is selected no power to the pump so I assume that the pcb is faulty, but whilst doing the function check I noticed that on steps 4 the normal light is flashing which indicates that the residual moisture sensing circuit has low resistance fault and on test 5 the normal light flashes and this time it means residual moisture sensor high resistance fault!!! I cannot see how the sensor can have a low and high resistance reading at the same time so is this a bug in the software.

I tried this same test on a T230 today and it gave me the same errors.

    Float switch sticking?

    Hi Seamy,

float switch seems to be working fine, if I empty the sump by putting power to the pump then run machine it will go through the program but wont activate the pump, the water bottle light then comes on ( once it fills the sump ) and I assume this is activated by the float switch.

With no power going to the pump during the functional test I assume it will be the pcb.

Does the moisture sensor test actually work, I have tried it on 2 machines and on both it fails the low and high resistance tests even though there is no problem the the carbons etc.

How you doing the moisture test? With items in the drum? or with a test lead? if there is items in the drum you will have varying resistances due to the resistance of the items in the drum and it will change constantly.Moisture test should not really affect the pump.
You sure the float switch is not sticking? and that the microswitch is ok? if so i would be looking at the pcb myself but really double check everything first because they are not cheap.
