In light of our pto (Please Turn Over) experience this evening who, BTW, is clearly either a liar trying to cause mischief or, more likely, a plant I think it may be time to create a new user group for people that are worth watching.
My logic runs thus…
Instead of moderating the poster as they’ve not gone completely out of bounds, I simply dump them into another new group, “Monitored” so that we can see them easily, colour them in purple or something so it’s easy for us to spot and discuss if required.
It also makes them aware that their posts will be looked at by the mod team. Might stop them being completely stoopid, might not.
Thoughts?

Good idea, I take it you mean that their username remains purple as opposed to the new poster yellow which expires after five posts?
Most of his earlier posts from three or more years ago had a somewhat aggressive attitude IMHO.

PS, Its my early working life as an agricultural technician ( farm worker) but to me pto always means Power Take Off, all tractors etc have a power take off shaft. 8)

Yes, very aggressive as if he was spoiling for a fight and comes across as trade but hasn’t, so far as I can see, requested trade access. Just another reason that there’s a distinct whiff of rat in the air.
I should take up farming or something, it’s gotta be less stressful than this sh-t!

You think so, just check which occupation is at or near the top of the suicide list, may change your mind. 😉

Sounds like a good idea having a monitored group, as you say K it’s easier to keep an eye on them by giving them their own colour.
Presumably we would decide between us as and when they could return to the normal list?
