ParticipantHi All
I’ve got a Liebherr Cnes 3366 index 20A fridge freezer. The last few weeks we have noticed that the alarm goes off strangely sometimes, but then two days ago found that the fridge section was at room temperature (according to the display and a thermometer verified that).
The freezer had increased to -3, but then reduced to -8. We placed the milk in the freezer last night and this morning, despite the display showing -20, the milk was not frozen.
When opening the fridge door, the fan at the back is not ‘spinning down’. I have checked the sensor behind the middle drawer in the freezer and it is free of moisture / ice. Behind the cover at the back of the freezer, I am unable to see the end of the other sensor cable as it seems quite icy there.
There are no error codes being shown. What is the likely cause? I am more than capable of performing any electronic sensor changes / cabling.
Since the temperature in the freezer is incorrect, I assume that at least this sensor is faulty.
Thank you in advance.

I have found the service manual:
http://www.putlocker.com/file/A46A896FA712AE2A
I’ll measure the thermistor values later to see if they are in-line with what they should be.

It seems it is a NTC 4.7K with a beta of approx 3780. A closely matching thermistor for testing:
NTCS0603E3472FHT
Though it is too small to be practical and is not encapsulated

Found the problem – The connector for the freezer reed switch that plugged into the main PCB had been forced on from the factory, causing a intermittent contact with the edge of the PCB.
