Ariston A1436 main motor fails to rotate. Door lock light flashes, and Easy iron light on. Anyone know what the fault might be? Are the fault codes listed anywhere?

First thing to check for no motor action are the motor carbon brushes etc.
Be sure to remove the mains plug if you intend to have a look.
