Gorenje D62225 condenser t/dryer

Never worked on one of these until last week. I might have a problem or I might not: problem is h2o leaking and the water chamber up at the top on the r/h/s hardly gets any water pumped up into it hence the water on the floor.I cleaned the filter and the condenser last week and asked her to try it, it recalled so back out today: I striped out the pump and the float chamber had loads of wet fluff inside it,this I cleared, and the pipes off from underneath-these were fine, and the drain hole in the rear water gully (just to the right of where the condenser fits) and the front gully near the front of the condenser were ok too. I jerry rigged a test by mouthing in 2 cups of h2o down the pipe from the water chamber to see if the pump would pump it back out-it did on 2 tests so I know the pump works. My question is:if the machine is set on full auto dry symbol-this is what she uses- how often is the pump pulsed on and off OR is it the float m/swt when near full of h2o turns the pump on when its m/swt gets triggered? If so I have probably now sussed it so good! but if it comes flying back could it be the pcb not pulsing the pump often enough. Any ideas please on how these t/d`s work.
