ParticipantNeed a little help on this problem. the main oven is on for around the 10 min at 180deg mark then blows the whole electrics, Was wondering if it could be the stat. one other thing is when i replace the element in the main oven about a year ago the switch didn’t work after replacement of element for some reason so had a look at the switch a touch one of the connector with another connector and started to work so i bent it so they both touch each other

Sounds like an overheat stat cutting out.
What’s the full PNC from the rating plate for the oven and we can look it up.

Two used, these ones…

I think one is faulty giving you the fault on the oven you describe.

Seamy is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} correct and I’m only posting to reenforce the message.
Bridging out safety devices is completely stupid and the clue’s in the name SAFETY DEVICE!!!
Manufacturer’s are as tight as tight can be, trust me when I tell you that if there wasn’t just cause for it to be there and incur the cost of it being there, it wouldn’t be there.
It’s okay Seamy, here the number’s easy to remember, it’s 999.

Topic merged as well, please keep it to one thread per problem, it save a lot of confusion when we’re looking at scores of posts.
