My Hotpoint dishwasher which is about 15 months old appears to have stopped working! Some water is definitely being pumped in, but how do I know if this is enough water? It does appear to be draining ok, however, the programme doesn’t seem to start after the water has entered and there are no flashing lights to suggest an error… Any ideas what might be wrong? Any help would be much appreciated

Yes, its 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit, that’s what is wrong with it. :rolls:

After it has filled does it make any noise at all? The main motors have failed in large numbers on these machines. Also heaters, pcb’s and wiring are all very suspect.

It does make a noise, like it is trying to do something, but nothing actually happens. It’s a bit of a humming noise?

95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain that main motor has failed, unlikely to be a capacitor fault at that age.
