Smeg condenser fan motor

Hello, the motor which drives the fan which cools the condenser on my SRA25X/2 side by side smeg fridge freezer has packed in, I think due to worn barings. It looks like a replacement part is 180 plus vat. The fridge is 13 yrs old an will probably be replaced in a couple of years so reluctant to have to spend so much. I notice other manufacturers condenser fan motots are much cheaper, Samsung for example. Does anyone know if one of those could be used to get by and which would come closest to the right spec?
