Original fault m/c dead.Swapped main control board with one I’d taken from an identical m/c.The m/c worked except all the programmes seemed to be shifted two places ie 13 programmes and A,B and C for rinse,spin and drain.Now A is in the C position and B in the 1 position and 2 position is now a wash position (no drain only position)etc.Thought it must be wrong board so I ordered one from emw with the same result.Headscratching time!Could the original board have corrupted the selection board?No blow marks on the original control board.

I would send both boards to emw and ask them to test as a pair. sounds like a sofware fault as the knob tells the prog which programme to run

Curioser and curioser, I returned today and fitted a programme selection board with the same serial numbers on it from an identical machine and lo and behold all the programmes are in their correct positions.Customer said she bought the machine brand new ,I just wonder whether the selection board was wrong from new as she said she only ever used the noncolourfast prog.
