Hey. I really need some help 🙁
My fridge freezer (Argos range one, can’t rem model number, nothing fancy. Only had it about 2 years) was making a clicking noise the other night, every few minutes or so, then found out this morning the fridge isn’t cold but the freezer is ok.
Now the fridge freezer makes the clicking noise, it makes the starting up hum, click again then it cuts off after a few seconds and keeps doing the same thing every few minutes.
Googled loads, watched YouTube vids and thought it might be starter relay.
Got relay off the compressor (Jiaxipera J series) but no rattle like what had been described 😕 So I have no clue now.
All the wires looked fine and all connected, no burnt bits, not dusty or dirty and can’t see anything else wrong.What could it be and how can I sort it??
Really can’t afford a new one. 😥

It sounds like a compressor failure and, if so you cannot repair it yourself as well an expensive to repair. If correct, best part of £200 to fix it most likely and specialist gas and equipment is needed to do it.
Also, if correct, the freezer will not be freezing as it should.
But without more info on the machine it’s hard to say.
