I have this appliance and periodically it defrosts itself. The temperature panel indicates the normal temps of +5 and -18 although the compressors are not working and the food is defrosting. If I switch the plug off and on everything starts working. i.e. rebooting corrects the thing. Some years ago an engineer came out to check out the machine and found nothing wrong. Which wasn’t surprising since I had rebooted it in order to get the machine working. It defrosted when we were on holiday in may and again this week. Liebherr have offered free parts after an engineer detects the fault. But as its working again he won’t find anything and his visit would be at my expense. I have established that the machine has two pcb’s, one in the operating system and one in the power circuit but don’t which of them is causing the intermittent fault. Can anyone help me?

Hello John, if you could supply the service no. That might help.
It sounds like the power board at fault.
A handful of liebherr appliances would cool down and then sit there doing nothing. Switching off and on reset the electronics and the appliance would work for a little while again.
Not sure if yours is one of these models though.
It’s very good of liebherr to supply parts foc, you wouldn’t get that with many manufacturers.Cheers.
