Could be one of the models on the re-call list? There were some problems a couple of years ago with boards going up in smoke and Bosch were sending out all sorts of bods with new boards to save their reputation. IIRC there were lots of problems getting new boards to work with old machines.
The list is on here somewhere.

Are your referring to the main control module or the delay timer “card” here?

Also, it is important to carefully inspect the card that blew to establish what component may also be at fault. ( i.e faulty dispenser solenoid, Water point diverter) 😉

Had a quick shufty. Don’t think your model’s in there, but it’s interesting reading anyway, especially the five pages of comments at the end.
I think you’re supposed to get an info leaflet in the box with the module and it’s often missing. I’m just vaguely recalling what I’ve read on this forum over many years; have never bought a new Bosch module myself. Martin might be able to help with that.

No the model is not covered under the Bosch recall. I always check first and would have told you otherwise. 😉

Don’t forget to check the duff module as I think component failure to blame here for sure. You may have inadvertently buggered up the new one too…..ooooops! 😯
