Damsel in distress here!
The element in my Homark oven gave up the ghost a couple of weeks ago. I managed to dismantle it and get a replacement from a local spares supplier. I’ve fitted the new element and connected up the wires in the same way as they were on the old one but the oven still isn’t working.
Any ideas why? I checked the fuse in the main fuse box but it looks ok.

We won’t be able to offer any specific advice without the model number.Basic principles would suggest:
1) Ensure cooker timer set to manual
2) Selector switch may be faulty.
3) Safety thermostat may have been tripped.The last two options require test equipment, if you can’t do this safely, send for an engineer. You can check in the Directories section for a UKW engineer in your area, or pop up your postcode in here and someone will pick up on it.
Don’t wait too long, it’s starting to get tight to order parts in time for Christmas.

Thanks for the response. The oven model number is 01-800100. It doesn’t have a timer so it looks like I’ll need to get someone out to look at it. Just what I need a week before Xmas, thankfully I haven’t bought the turkey yet!
