Can anyone help. This is my second Whirlpool side by side fridge that has gone wrong much sooner than I would expect.
I have just corrected a tripping RCD by replacing the defrost heater in the freezer compartment. On powering it back up it all seems to be working electronically except I now have an issue with the Ice Maker. Haven’t used it for a long time so can’t say that it was 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} before my repair.
On turning on the Ice Maker it tries to rotate the ice cube tray although its as if its going the wrong way and can’t so I get a lot of gear grinding noises. It then turns the other way but only about 1/8 of a turn so the ice doesn’t tip out. The following water refils then overflows into the ice bin and then ultimately onto the floor.
I have not touched this unit in my repair so has something else gone wrong or is it adjustable? Very grateful of any advice.
