    Hi,
I’ve swapped loads of these cutouts in the past on AEG single ovens. They’re the probe like ones that have four wires connecting to the cooling fan.
I’ve got a problem machine at the moment that is eating them. 3 in the last 2 months.
I’ve checked to see if anything is overheating, cooling fan working, shorts to earth but nothing shows up.
It’s not as though it going wrong after every time she uses it, just intermittently.
If anybody else has had this problem and could shed any light on it, I’d really appreciate.
    As usual guys, many thanks
    Nick

Have you checked installation? It could be overheating in the cabinet, the cooling fan draws air from rear and heat from oven andsends it out the front, so it needs ventilation

Yes, doesnt seem to be a problem with installation. I did think about that. I even just out of desperation asked the lady to remove the oven gloves from the front of the door incase it was stopping the fan from cooling efficiently. The oven has been built in for about 6 years and has only just started to do this recently.
    Thanks for you help

Has she started cooking at higher tempatures? Is the tempature correct in the oven?

Thats one thing I havent checked, but I asked her if its been cooking alright, ie burning. She said shes had no problems with it. In fact she said the last time it did it, she was using the grill. I checked again to see if the cooling fan was coming on when the grill reached temp and it did.
I’ll go back armed with another cut out and test the temp.
Like I say, i’ve swapped hundreds of these in the past and never had any recalls.
