I have a fairly old Siemens F/F FD No. 7904/26299, ENR KG31V04GB/06. Which is in my garage and used as an overflow freezer/beer cooler. It has been working erratically for a week or two, and now it seems to have died entirely, and I am wondering whether it is worth attempting a repair.:rolls: When I first noticed it was not cooling, it seemed that the motor had just stopped, although it obviously still had power. I switched it off and on a couple of times and I heard the motor start up again. I left it for a day or so and when I checked again everything was as it should be. However, another day or two later it had again stopped, but I got it going again and this time left the super cool switch on. However, when I checked again it had again stopped working and I could not get the motor to start at all. There are no funny noises or clicking when it does work, so does anyone think this is likely to be a simple/cheap problem like a starter relay, or is it likely to be something more expensive, in which case I will probably scrap it. Any expert opinion would be most welcome.
