Hi guys, got a 4 year old Amica AWCM 10L. It just started with a new fault code not covered by the user manual or anything I can find on the Internet. (it’s not the models with the LED screen). It has a standard fault status of the ‘End’ light on and the ‘Standby’ light flashing. The fault lights are the 60?and the 30?.

I know that if the 95 deg was on it would ‘Washing interrupted’ but that’s definitely not the case.

    Aany help would be appreciated.

It looks like a motor fault, its lsted in the service manual that a 60/30 fault means that power has been sent to motor but no signal received back from the tacho, maybe the motor brushes are worn.

Right, upon closer inspection, the overflow pipe from the powder drawer had come loose and was allowing a small amount of water kept landing on one side of the motor. This appears to have worn down one brush more than the other. So although the motor turns its not turning quick enough.

Although there could still be a problem with the tachometer itself, I’m going with the most obvious solution first.

    Update:

For anyone who has a similar problem; it turns out that the water landing on the motor, although not enough to cause a short, was enough to rust the copper contacts of he motor brush housing. This build up of copper rust stopped the brush extending out when the it wore down.

Simply taking the brush holder off and cleaning off the copper rust off the contact was enough to allow the brushes to slide out correctly and maintain contact with the motor.

Same problem here. The door would lock, End light was on, standby light was flashing, and 3 of the temperature lights were illuminated.

Didn’t want to have to deal with the landlord, so tried turning it off and on again – no dice.

Then i started battering buttons randomly.

Eventually i held down the START / RESET button for like 5 seconds and that unlocked it from the error condition.
