ParticipantDoes anyone know the test procedure to see the last known fault code on a WMAL641PUK Hotpoint.
Customer has told me that some possibly all 😐 the lights were flashing… and now whenever she turns the machine on, it comes on.. lights up fine but the door lock light stays on constantly and it won’t let her open the door nor will it start a program when she hits start pause & now no error code shows at all. I’m going to check it out tomorrow but I thought i’d get a heads up first.Regards

Sorry, can’t help you with last know fault code but first thing to look at on the machine with this fault is the brushes, pound to a penny they’re worn down! Good Luck!

The last known error codes can only be obtained for the WMA machines unless of course you have the manufacturers laptop and Wash Doctor/Emit software.

Sorry for bringing up this old post. But i have a problem witht he same machine!
Ok it is a fairly new washing amchine the WMAL6413 but it’s used in a school therefore they are not guaranteed.
On first visit after checking almost everything to no avail. I slammed the door in one ditch attempt to get the machien to work and VOILA! She worked! for two whole months?
Got a call again couple days ago to say she is playing up.
Went out and the machien had the exact same fault as before.Turn machine on,
Close door.
Before even pressing start the door locks straight away with the door lock light. (stays static, not flashing) Will not let me open the door unless i pull the release strap. & the machine does absolutely nothing else.
-Checked Motor ( 3 phase no brushes)
-Checked wiring on everything, Board lock and motor. All seems fine.Do you guys think it’s worth replacing the lock?
Problem is if it was just the standard lock i would of put a new one in but this certain lock C00285597 is hardly available anywhere and is a special order too.December 6, 2012 at 7:41 pm #381619johnnyj

Cheers Johnny, looks like i’ll have to go down that route then. Any reason as to why me giving it a big slam the first time 3 months ago worked?
