we have a customer with a candy cp22/2x with a verry small fan element. the original element lasted 2 years, the replacement has lasted 12 months.

we also have a customer that ended buying two of these small element for a different candy oven as he wanted to have a spare (obviously expecting another brake down soon)

dos anyone know anything about any common faults with these elements or oven designs.

    thanks

Not unusual by any means for premature element failure across most makes and model these days. Both genuine and pattern elements equally vunerable I’m afraid. Faulty elements usually blow around ‘hotspots’ associated to bends close to the terninal mounting brackets. Whereas long service elements normnally blow in the mid section.

Restricted air circulation and fan motor speed reduction can also lead to premature element failure of cause. 😉

Cheers for the response. had a couple more of the elements come through since the post, I’m expecting more of the same in the future so will defiantly be investing in stock of these to speed up the repairs.
