ParticipantHi
My dishwasher flashes the fast&dry lights & delicate lights.
There is a slight smell of electrical burning when up close to the dishwasher.
Heater is heating water and circulation pump seems ok but I don’t think the machine is draining.
There is a gurgling sound during the cycle which I haven’t heard before (Which i assume is the drain pump or lack of it) and then after a while the circulation pump starts up.
This carries on for about 3 cycles and then the lights start flashing.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is likely to be and how to proceed. Thanks in advance Kevin

Lights 4 + 6 are supposed to signify a fault in the heater circuit, the burning smell is not ideal and you should not continue to use the machine until it has been looked at, could be heater, pcb, pressure switch or a wiring fault, all very prone to failure on these Indesit machines, especially the Chinese made ones. 8)

Thanks for your reply iadom.
Update on fault/s
Recirculation pump and drain pumps seem ok as the unit is draining and the recirculation pump can be heard and can see water coming up clear tube at rear of machine.
After running a quick cycle the machine seems to pause the recirculation pump whilst the heater is in operation. The gurgling noise reported in earlier post is the heated water slushing up the recirculation tube at rear.(would have assumed recirculation pump would have been running whilst heating was taking place ?)
After a while the recirculation pump starts and normality resumes.
After removing bottom tray after running machine the casing of motor is extremely hot. Is this normal ?.
Also top rear of machine casing is very hot whilst heating is on and no recirculation pump running scenario.
Can anyone shed any light on problem with this updated info. Thanks in advance Kevin
