KeymasterHello,
Came back home today to find my Smeg dishwasher (DWF 410 SS)) was sitting with an E1 code on the display. A look at the manual and I see this is due to flood detection being tripped.
I did also notice that I appeared to have selected the ‘soak’ program with a fairly full load (something the manual tells you not to do!!!).
Anyhow I powered off and pulled the dishwasher out and as I did so spotted a little water under it – as I tilted the thing slighly more water poured out – I just let it all flow out til it stopped coming. I’ve mopped up and put in back in to try again.
Now with an empty washer I start a program – then after day 5 minutes a beep and an E1 error. I can hear the motor still going and what sounds like triclking water inside – it just stays like this forever uniil I switch the thing off!!!
Have I totally managed to break my dishwasher just by picking the wrong program ? Perfect timing for Christmas!!!!
Any ideas really appreciated as to what may be happening here – I’ll no doubt need to get an engineer involved at some point.
Thanks
Tim

I should add, there is an aquastop box on the intake. I hear water coming it a times and have seen the drainage working as well.

ParticipantTim,
The undertray is flooding. Tipping the machine drains it, but does not solve the problem – you have find the leak.If you are not confident to do this, stick your post code up and hopefully one of UKW’s engineers will be in your area.
Do nothing without turning the power off first.

Thanks for that – no worries where water and leccy are concerned the power always goes off first!!
My postcode is HG1 , but I will speak with Smeg as I’m pretty sure I’m *just* still in my first year warranty. If not will be needing some help I think.

Thanks, for anyone interested, it was a leak into the undertray as you stated- a fitting below the bottom sprayer arm had worked loose.
