If you read the description you find this,“I recently had new shock absorber, brand new drum, motor and most other parts replaced in my Hotpoint BWM129 intergrated washing machine under guarantee by a Hotpoint engineer
Unfortunately it didn’t resolve the problem with my machine which was just a water leak from the soap drawer ?????? so they replaced the machine with a new one under the guarantee”Be interesting to hear what peeps think might have been the logic behind the situation which led to this customer’s experience.

Mike.First of all…never believe the tosh eBayers spout forth. Machine appears to have been replaced at some point but they left the duff machine behind. eBayer strips it and flogs the crap on eBay. :rolls:

Tbh unless the engineer lied through his teeth the machine would never have got replaced by HP for that and if they had they always remove/recover the old machine. As it was less than 12 months old it would have gone back to Peterborough for rework and be sold in the Factory Graded Shop on site.
HOWEVER I have seen a situation where customer buys machine from Curry’s with there own insurance taken out at the time of purchase, then there is a problem that can’t be resolved within 21 days Curry’s them selves write it off and replace it. I saw this with friend of the family earlier in the year. The Fridge was freezing in bottom salad draw. Indesit went out and ordered duct heaters, these were on back order so the call went over 21 days. They kicked up with Curry’s and they replaced it. They delivered a new one and never collected the old. I was called to have a look at it. Installed the missing heater nod it’s been with his daughter ever since.

I resent that sweeping and totally incorrect observation. 👿

The net is full of peeps who in the real world could not repeat a piece of gossip accurately whether intentionally or there just drama queens. They now have a huge audience to feed there egos and sprout there bull888t.
