Have an AEG ÖKO-LAVAMAT 76665 that gets an Error code C7 shortly after starting any washing program.
After starting a program a pump goes for about 10 seconds, stops for a few seconds, starts again and then I get the error code C7. The machine never opens for water.

C7 is supposed to mean :- Heating fault. Check heater element for continuity, if OK, check heater relay. Continuous water input though a faulty valve can also give this error.

I have checked the heater element, I get 25.8 ohms and the heat sensor gets 6k ohms. I have also tested the element and it gets hot and the resistance on the heat sensor decreases so the heater should be ok.
Since the machine never opens for water I tested the three water inlet solenoid valves. They all worked and opened up.

Then I have three things left to check, heater relay and the two Water level pressure switches.

Do anyone know where the heater relay is located and how to test it?
Do anyone know how to test the Pressure switch and the second level switch?

What else should I check or what could be the reason for the error?

Here is another posting with the exact same problem but no solution:

C7 is a heater related fault as you say, have you tested the heater with a megger? Does it have an earth fault perhaps? Relay would be on the circuit board to the side. You test it with a multimeter, checking that the contacts open & close & make a circuit when they close, you would also check the relay coil for continuity.
There are 2 pressure switches on this appliance, the large on controls the heater. Level switch just gives a level measurement to control board.
It may be time to get an engineer to check it is proving difficult.

Hi my guess is that the problem is the brown pressure switch with many cables that is the problem.
Do you know how to test it?
I get a connection between pole 11 and 14 when water level is at height one (first lick in switch) and connection between pole 21 and 24 at level 2.

Pressure switch should be closed on contacts 11/12 & 21/22 when empty, on filling it should switch to positions 11/14 & 21/24, contacts 11/12/14 being first level & 21/22/24 being second level.
From what you have posted it seems the pressure switch works as it should.

    Re: AEG ÖKO-LAVAMAT 76665 Error C7

    Thank you.
It was the pressure switch after all. As I wrote it tested ok on 11-14 and 21-24. My guess is that the problem must be 12 and 22. I wonder if those are the one used to test the system.

Anyway today I went to a place where old/broken electrical equipment can be returned and luckily there was an AEG washing machine. Someone had already taken parts from it, the top was already and someone had taken the small pressure swith.

I took the big one, went home and put it in the machine and it works.

So the solution to AEG Error C7 if heater is ok, it is probably the two level pressure switch.

    Thanks.
