Hi folks, moving house and need advice on transporting a fridge.
Its a 1.8m high Electrolux fridge(all fridge no freezer) the model is ERC3700X
i will need to transport it horizontally as my van is quite low.
any precautions i need to take like leaving it stand vertically for a while after i arrive before plugging in. and is there any particular side i should lay it on while transporting.
    Any advive welcome. thanks

If you can then making sure you protect the front from damage then lay it on its front that way its less likely the oil from the compressor will run into the pipework .

Best to lay on side, look at the back and you will see the black compressor, on one side there will be a pipe sticking out that dosnt go anywhere, lay it on this side. When you arrive at destination stand upright for at least 6 hours or overnight if you can, switch on then when its down to temputure put your food in. When new and still on their packaging we lay them on back, as the packaging protects the pipework at the rear.
