KeymasterI have just installed my Miele dishwasher and at first the salt light came on, easily resolved by filling salt resevoir with water then salt, I set the water hardness level, then turned it back on, it was fine – no lights, set for pre wash then closed and waited, no programme started, the warning light started flashing and it shows an inlet/drain problem, i have checked the waste and water feed both are fine, no kinks etc. and water pressure is ok.
Any Ideas?? The christmas roast will be a lot easier with a dishwasher.

Not wishing to doubt your checks, but I would check the inlet and outlet again.
Is this a new install or a replacement dishwasher (one out/one in) ?

It is a new install, i have checked the pipe, and the waste, i even removed the seal cap thing from the waste pipe, am i missing anything to do with the pressure reducing valve on the cold water pipe? Did I have to remove anything from the dishwasher itself?

Pressure reducing valve ?
That’s only for use in a property with very high mains water pressure isn’t it ?
Can you confirm what the installation instruction says about this please.
Dave.

KeymasterRe: Miele Dishwasher – Fully Integrated – inlet/drain light
The pressure reducing valve is fixed to the end of the water pipe, (the dishwasher end) we have about 1.2 bar of pressure to our combi boiler, so no pressure to reduce. The installation instructions say not to cut or damage the pipe, ie not to remove the box from the end of the pipe.

If everything is OK with the supply etc, the only other option is to phone Miele customer service and ask their advice.
I can’t think of anything else myself to be honest.

ParticipantHose with a box on the end? Sounds like an Aquastop fill hose. You might like to turn off the water tap, disconnect and reconnect the hose and see if it resets.
