Just looked it up on https://parts.indesitservice.co.uk and there are these two choices available.
C00282396 is described as “ELECH MECH DELTA”
    and C00281561 as “ELECH MECH”
Please can someone tell me what “delta” means in this context and should I worry?
    Ind code of m/c I looked at was 95306170000 s/n 809290079
    Ta,

It’s the same heater just a different connector on it. The 1561 is the older connector and the other is the newer one. Depends on the age of the machine. However if you get the wrong one you can remove the pins from the plug and put them into the other one.

Thankyou madfisher, that is very helpful. I’ll see which one I can get cheaper 😀 . One is £40 the other £52 at Indesit but I don’t suppose that will necessarily be reflected at the wholesalers.

Yeah, I thought it would be the older one judging by the state of it. Newer connector version was the cheaper IIRC.
