    Hi

    My washer has stopped spinning.
I have taken the motor off.
    The drum spins freely.

The motor smells like it may be a bit burnt?

Putting my multimeter on to the wires going into the motor (Motor disconnected), i momontarily get 110v when it should spin.

With the motor reattached, when it should spin it tries to spin then stops.

The motor spins freely when not doing anything.

    Is the motor goosed?

    Thanks

Would’nt really advise live testing. Have you checked the motor carbon brushes for wear, hopefully new brushes will cure the problem, motor would be very expensive. Part num’ is 1246179061. It should flash 5 times if the motor doesn’t turn as an error code.
