My 7 year old Admiral side-by-side is no longer cooling.
Coils are all clean front and back, switched it off for 24 hours, and now I’m stumped.
The fan is working – pretty much constantly at the moment, and the compressor kicks in for about 5 seconds every 2 minutes, then clicks off.
About 30 seconds after the compressor clicks off, the black unit arrowed in the pic below clicks………then the cycle starts again – wait about a minute and a half, compressor clicks in, stops after 5 seconds, etc, etc.Any pointers?

Your compressor has failed and will require replacement.

OK – thanks for the quick response – not good news 🙁
Is there a possibility it could be anything else – or should I now go down the route of getting an engineer in to replace it? – and can anyone recommend an engineer in the Lymington / New Forest area that can do this?
