    Hi Guys
Had the above today with a black mouldy door boot and at least one leg on the ‘spider’ cracked. Not had to change a spider on one of these plastic tub Bosch machines before, anyone had any experience? Bosch list the part as a bearing cross, 473434, I think?
    All thoughts appreciated!

Yes you got the part number correct. It’s expensive and out of stock right now.

You’ll need also the drum seal kit ( 264574) bearing and seal kit, new door boot and a customer with deep pockets and little common sense. 😈

I know it’s an expensive job, I was just wondering how easy the spider change is? On a more expensive machine it may be viable?
Bring back the old Hotpoint WM machines!

You have to cut off dozens of latches to release the two tub halves. (don’t forget the tub seal kit) and free off the rusted nuts and bolts fixings on the drum. So it’s a fiddle at best and not much fun overall.

The WFD is the cheapest Bosch and hardly worth a carrot on repairs of this nature hence my earlier comment on your customers common sense being questionable.

Greater Manchester is awash with them apparently even to this day………some sort of weird time warp going on up there it seems. 😈
