I’ve had an Admiral GS2126PEDW side by side fridge freezer for 8 years. We had to move it a few days ago. It was working fine in new position and after about 24 hours the electrics tripped.

We isolated the fault to the freezer. When the freezer thermostat is turned to off the fridge works fine and the electrics remain on. As soon as the freezer thermostat is moved it trips the electrics.

Never had problems before. Great unit so hoping it can be repaired.

Any ideas please? Also the potential price to repair.

    Thank you.

The most likely fault is the defrost heater and it will need replacing

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have any idea if the defrost heater is an easy job or easy to identify? I can’t do it myself (I dont think) so will have to call someone out.

Is it possible to do it without being a refrigeration engineer?

    Thanks.

You will need a refrigeration engineer

Try find an engineer on this site for an engineer near you
