I’m just about to have my washing machine put into a very tight space in my kitchen and it’s going to be standing on rubber tiles underneath a worktop. Does anybody know of an ingenious method of making it easy to pull it out when I need to – it won’t be very often I know but I’d like to plan ahead and ease the pain when I have to. Something to stand it on? Something to attach to it? Something to wrap round it? Any creative thinking would be much appreciated.

You wont like this answer, but please dont put it in a tight space. Adding anything will just make the machine unbalanced and possibly unstable.

…..but if that’s your only option ( love) and once it’s in place and you need to drag it out then just open the porthole door and pull the machine out holding the top of the inner drum. Most machines aren’t especially heavy anyway so a short tug using this method and it pops out like a cork out of a wine bottle! : 😀

Furniture spray polish sprayed on the floor in the space to put it in. To pull out tilt backward enough to put a towel under front feet and as Martin says, open the door and pull
