ParticipantHello,
I would appreciate any pointers on how to remove the motor (part no 267773 according to the Bosch website) from the above referenced d/w.
I’ve got as far as removing the side panel, disconnecting the electrical connections, locating the plastic locking tab, pressing that in and twisting the motor housing. However it gets to a point where one of the suspension lugs makes contact with the base tray of the unit and stops the motor being twisted off its connection. What is the secret, or do I have to remove the base and if so what is the best way to go about that?
In case anyone is wondering why I want access I’ve just cured a leak that was putting the d/w into flood protection mode, requiring me to remove a panel and tip the machine on its side to empty out the base. I ran the machine with the panels off just to do a final leak check before slotting it back into place and noticed the motor smoking whilst it was running (yes I have read the “Under no circumstances live test or operate machinery with the casing open…”). I therefore assume the motor is on its way out and want to be able to inspect it properly or swap it for a new one.
Any suggestions appreciated as I’ve run out of ideas beyond completely dismantling the thing. Sadly, Bosch were not prepared to tell me anything or provide a service manual.
Cheers,

I’m having the same problem. What a rotten job this is. Such a bad design! There must be a link on here somewhere explaining how to remove the motor and heater. But where?
