This machine fills with water and then i get voltage to the wash motor but the motor does not start. Its not siezed and i replaced the capacitor but still nothing. Im not sure what readings i should be getting through the motor connections but there are 4 connections on the motor marked 5 2 4 And 1, there are wires connected to 2 4 and 1. I have a reading of around 60ohms between only connections 4 and 1 and thats it.

    Any help please.

Look at the board, I would think the motor’s triac has likely blown in that case. 🙁

I assume that you have tried connecting to the capacitor connections as well and can still only find 1 coil? You could try disconnecting the motor from every thing else, if you can then get a reading between the 2 connectors that go to the capacitor then the coils are probably ok otherwise I would expect at least one more connection (can’t remember which) to give you a reading.

Don’t forget Jem, it’s switched on the neutral side from that triac I mentioned. 😉

I may have forgotten where it was switched but it still seems odd to me that he can only find 1 motor coil.

Yup, sounds suspiciously like an o/c coil, although I don’t think I’ve ever come across a Bosch dishwasher thus afflicted myself. (Neither could I say with certainty that I’ve ever found one with a blown motor triac.) Some of them have IIRC, a ptc (start device) that fits onto the motor terminals though; I found one of those blown once.
