ParticipantThis WVT1260GB fills with water constantly on the drying cycle. Any ideas? I have cleaned out the top part of the condenser which was really coated in layers of fluff, but can only get my hand down so far so I can only clean the top horizontal part of the condenser, not the vertical chamber that goes down the side of the machine. I was hoping that this would de-gunge a sensor that was asking the valve for water all the time but it has not made any difference. Is there a sensor somewhere at the bottom of the condenser that would be “asking” for water all the time? A fault of F04 comes on the screen after about 10 mins of the drying cycle but I think that relates to draining issue probably due to the excess amounts of water not being expelled with the short burst of the pump meant only to expel the condensation. I was delighted to follow your link to the schematics for this machine in a reply to a post by Yucca on Sat 28 Nov 2009 about a similar thing with the same machine. I am really stumped here – please can you help?? Thank you!

Hi
The water condenses the steam and has to flow all the time . If you stopped the water flow it would not dry.
You need to clean the condenser and make sure the drainage system is clear.Washman

Wow thank you so much for your speedy reply! Ahhhh! so it IS a drainage problem then. I have cleaned out the lint filter at the bottom right of the machine but it seemed ok and the pump seems to work ok too. The water is filling up the in drum so do you think that it is a problem at the pump end or still with the condenser? thanks so much for your help!!

Pump/ drain problem not the condenser. 😉

Also the water going into the machine on dry is restricted to a very slow trickle. If the restrictor in the valve is faulty the water may be going in too fast. Meaning intermittent pumping is not sufficient.

Thank you – just seen your additional post. Is the restrictor in the valve an integral part of the valve meaning that I have to replace the whole thing? When I cleaned out the rubber “boot” behind the drum there was a string of gunge in there which after I had cleared it seemed to do the trick and the drying cycle was working but now we have fault F04 again. The pump seems fine on the wash cycle so would you think that it is more likely to be the dryer`s water valve. Thanks again for your invaluable help every one – much appreciated.
