    Fitted new door seal to both these machines and same problem occurs.
    The drum is rubbing against the seal and squealing like ned beatty!!
    Part no is C00111416 & is the correct seal according to Hotpoint .
    Wonder if anyone has had similar problem with this machine, as telling the customer
    the seal has got to bed in is not ideal.

    Yes i have and they are a pain all you can do is try another seal or ask the customer to smear some lenor along the edge till it beds in if your lucky .I did have one that twisted the drum so beware

    Tell them to do a boil wash after fitting, as its supposed to relax the seal

    As has been said boil wash as they shrink back slightly.

    Fingers crossed the heater dosen’t go open circuit as well.

    thanks all for advice,not had this problem before so will tell them to do boil & hope for the best.
