    Hi,

Anyone can advice on Hotpoint WF541G washing machine around 5 years old,
All display lights flicker and machine won’t start. Tried to access the plug but will need to remove the drainage and water inlet hoses. I wondered whether any one had a same problem and were able to fix machine themselves. Thanks, Nina

A well documented fault, if ALL the lights are flashing rapidly then a component on the main circuit board has failed.

You would need some soldering skills and the correct part to attempt this repair, or check out our ‘Find an engineer’ under the search link at the top of the page.

PS. A machine should never be installed in such a way that you cannot quickly access the mains plug, one of the many reasons that people in our trade dislike most kitchen fitters. :rolls:

Thank you! Is it worth repairing it? An Engineer would charge around £80 and might not be able to fix it. Also i found on ebay a used 4 year old Miele washer/dryer for a reasonable price, but is it risky to buy the used machine?
Anyhow thank you for your comment.

Not all engineers charge £80. 😉 It is a simple fix if you have the know how.

I would always be wary of any ‘second hand’ washer sold on Ebay, although Miele are very good machines they do have criminally expensive parts. :rolls:
