I have been asked by a friend to find out a diagnosis for a problem he has with his dryer.

He said it sounds as if the pulley is slipping on a shaft for a few seconds when it starts to rotate it does the same when it goes into reverse mode, is this a motor fault??

    thanks

Never changed a motor on one John, usually faulty jockey pulley or belt(or both).
    Or loose fan.

In agreement with above but did have one this week with play in the motor as well as loose fan & worn tension pulley. What a heap of junk these are!!!
