    Hello

Our WDD960 has a leak on the l.h side which is running down the left hand strut.
I have checked the dispenser tray for leaks and that is fine.
I did find that the torx screws holding the drum housing together were slightly loose.
I think that the leak is coming from the drum outer housing but at a point lower then I can reach due it being tight up against the m/c outer case.
Does the washing machine outer cabinet come off or do I have to remove the whole drum assembly through the front to get to the drum?

    Thanks

    Re: Ultima WDD920 Drum leak.

Incorrect model number I’m afraid. The full model number plus any extra letters or numbers from the rating plate or label inside the door would be a big help.

TBH, it is very rare indeed for the drum fixing screws to come loose, that is assuming yours does have a screwed drum and not a welded one.

A more likely cause is that a metal object has gone in with the washing and punctured a hole in the outer drum.

    Re: Ultima WDD960 Drum leak.

Sorry, edited out the incorrect 920. Correct machine is WDD960.

The drum is screwed. The ones that are easily accseible I managed to get at least half to a full turn on them.

Do you mean punctured a hole straight through the plastic/nylon outer housing? Is that possible?

If so, does this have to withdraw from the front of the housing?

    Thanks

Possible , it is very common with modern, plastic drums and is always very expensive to fix. People are careless and don’t bother to check pockets etc.:(

The drum does come out through the front as an assembly. I don’t think it is anything to do with the screws.
